About Steady Steps

Physiotherapy with independence at the centre

I'm a physiotherapist currently working in the NHS in an acute hospital setting, where I predominantly work with older adults. My clinical experience has given me a particular interest in rehabilitation and helping people regain their strength, mobility and confidence following illness, hospitalisation and changes in their health.

I started Steady Steps Home Physio because I believe rehabilitation should focus on more than improving a person's physical ability in isolation. It should help people get back to doing things that are important to them. That might mean feeling confident walking around the house, managing the stairs, getting outside independently, returning to a favourite activity, or simply feeling safer and stronger day to day.

Why home visits?

A clinic can tell us how someone moves in a clinical environment. A home visit allows us to understand how they move in their real life.

Treatment can be tailored to your individual environment, routines and goals, making rehabilitation practical and meaninful
